Student Resources – Work Health and Safety

SELF-PACED LEARNING

Our Work Health and Safety courses requires you to complete 15 hours per week of self-paced learning. Below is an outline of each module for our course with the required readings and videos that need to be reviewed. Some of these readings relate to questions in your assessment and others help you to consolidate and strengthen your knowledge from the face to face session.

The self-paced learning is broken up into 3 sections:

Read are articles, information sheets, handbooks and web pages that have been created by industry experts and governing bodies.

Watch is a selection of videos from around the world that give you allow you to take the information in visually and allow you to see practices being implemented in the workplace.

Review is where you go over documents you may have previously looked at in other weeks. That is because they contain relevance to the current topic you are on. For example the Guide to the Work Health and Safety Act should be reviewed weekly as it contains information about compliance, hazards, risks, systems, consultation and return to work.
