Overview

Our CHC33015 – Certificate III in Individual Support is a course designed for those wanting to help care for vulnerable people that need assistance. To be an individual support worker, you should possess a sense of compassion and empathy with strong communication skills that will allow you to make that vital connection with those you will be taking care of.

Our individual Support course has been designed to suit the Ageing, Home and Community Care streams.

Entry requirements

To be successful in this course the following must be met:

 

Application Participate in an Information Session & Pre-Training Review
Enrolment Form
Digital Literacy Access to a computer or smart device and the internet to complete your studies
Language Literacy and Numeracy AQF Level 2
Pre-requisites Not Applicable
Availability One day a week for 4 hours
Ability to undertake 120 hours placement at aged care facility

Fees and funding

This training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government funding. The course fees/costs depend upon eligibility for a Government subsidy, via the Skills First Funding Program.  Using a funded place can affect your access to future funding. If you are not eligible for funding the course fees will be the “Fee for Service” rate.

I've studied at other institutes, however Melbourne College of Further Studies is by far ahead of the rest. Leila my trainer is very knowledgeable and very approachable. Head office and Bec are very helpful whenever I needed assistance with anything and replied to my enquiries promptly. I recommend this college 110%. 👌
