Work Health Safety

Our BSB30715 Certificate III in Work Health and Safety course trains you in how to protect yourself from permanent injuries and protect your team. This course will provide you with tools and processes to prevent accidents, but also how to handle them if they do occur. You will even exit with your first aid level 2, allowing you to be nominated first aid representative in the workplace.

This qualification has been tailored to workers in the construction and traffic industry, with a specific focus on safety on worksites and when working with traffic.

Completing the WHS course will provide you with a strong foundation in hazard identification, risk assessment and implementing hazard controls in the workplace. You will get an in-depth understanding of how to manage emergency situations, respond to critical incidents and perform first aid.

Our certificate delivers the latest in social media marketing combined with tertiary preparation, to ensure you are ready for any future study.

Everyone should do this course as it applies to every workplace. The course included lots of relevant scenarios and real life incidents and the trainer was good.

Anyone can apply for the WHS Course.

Background in a related discipline is not required; the aim of the WHS Course is to enable you to learn everything you need to know at a foundation level, so you can keep you and your workplace safe. You could be a school leaver, student, worker, business owner, or simply looking to broaden your skill set.

You may be eligible for a Victorian government subsidised place (s) via the Skills First Program. If you are eligible, the government will contribute to the cost of training.

Basic Eligibility Criteria (other conditions may apply):
– Australian Citizen or hold permanent residence, and
– Have not completed a Certificate III or higher in any industry (unless under 20 as at the 1st January this year), and
– Have not enrolled in/completed more than 2 other funded courses this year, and
– Have not enrolled in 2 other Certificate III’s in your lifetime (regardless of if you completed the course)

Utilising funding for this course may affect your ability to access further government subsidised training

Yes, if you come to all classes and complete your assessments more quickly than others you may complete relatively soon after your face-to-face classes.

It is expected that this course could take you 8 months to complete however duration will vary person to person.

Not the official certificate, you need to do an official 5-day course with a Worksafe approved provider.

Your first aid statement of attainment is issued within a week of competently completing the units, providing any fees have been paid in full.
